15-Minute House Hero policies

Terms of Use

End User Licence Agreement (EULA) · Last updated: August 17, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Robin Viken, an individual developer established in Norway ("we", "us"), governing your use of the 15-Minute House Hero mobile application and any related services (the "App").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.

1. Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to use the App on devices that you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with the usage rules of the app store you obtained it from (the Apple App Store or Google Play).

The App is licensed to you, not sold. We retain all rights not expressly granted.

2. What you may not do

You agree not to: copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App except as permitted by mandatory law; reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law; rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense the App; remove or obscure proprietary notices; circumvent the subscription or entitlement checks; or use the App to store or transmit unlawful, abusive, or infringing content, or in a way that disrupts the service or other users.

3. Eligibility and accounts

The App is intended for users aged 13 and over, and is not directed at children. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

On first launch the App signs you in automatically with an anonymous account so you can use it without registering. You may optionally add an email address and password to secure your account and recover your data on another device. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity that occurs under your account.

You can delete your account and its associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription — see section 5.

4. Households and shared content

The App includes optional household features that let you join a shared household and see other members' progress, leaderboards, and live sessions. If you join or create a household, the display name and progress information described in our Privacy Policy become visible to the other members of that household.

Only invite people you know and trust, choose a display name you are comfortable sharing, and behave respectfully toward other members. You are responsible for the content you add, including chore names, display names, and household names. We may remove content or suspend access where content is unlawful or abusive.

5. House Hero Pro subscriptions

The core of the App is free. House Hero Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks additional features. Pro is offered on a monthly and an annual plan; the exact plans, prices, and any introductory free trial are shown on the purchase screen in the App before you confirm, in your local currency.

6. Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. Because a subscription gives you immediate access to digital content, you are asked to consent to immediate performance at the point of purchase and thereby acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once performance has begun. Refund requests are nonetheless handled by Apple or Google as the seller of record, and your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.

7. Availability and changes to the App

We work to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may be added, changed, or removed, and the App or its online services may be suspended or discontinued. If we discontinue a paid feature during a period you have paid for, you may cancel and seek a refund through the relevant app store.

8. No professional advice

The App is a planning and motivation tool for short household chore sessions. It does not provide medical, safety, legal, financial, or other professional advice. You are responsible for choosing chores that are appropriate and safe for your home, health, age, and surroundings, and for using cleaning products and equipment safely. Do not use the App as a substitute for professional guidance or common-sense safety decisions.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of profit arising from your use of the App, and our total liability in connection with the App is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under the mandatory consumer-protection rules of Norway or of your country of residence.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account from within the App. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 9, 11, and 12) will survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the App changes. The "last updated" date above shows when they were last revised. Material changes affecting a paid subscription will be communicated before they take effect where required by law. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, you also enjoy the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and nothing here deprives you of those protections or of the right to bring proceedings in your local courts. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13. Apple App Store — additional terms

The following applies where you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, and takes precedence over anything inconsistent above:

Apple's own Terms of Use for licensed applications (the standard EULA) are available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula and apply in addition to these Terms.

14. Google Play — additional terms

Where you obtained the App from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the App. Subscription billing, cancellation, and refunds for Google Play purchases are handled by Google under its policies.
